About Me

A woman who is trying to get through life.  It is harder than I ever fantasized. I have a great desire to leave a mark on this world. I have no idea how but I have the desire.

I love to write, but my grammar is really bad.  I did graduate from college. It didn’t help my grammar. LOL!!! So yes I write and edit this blog. The best I can. I am honest, real and will say whatever is on my mind.

My Youtube Channel is Bostongirl5560. I am working on trying to figure out how to put a widget on here. Link below

  1. I’m so loving your vibe! Keep the knowledge coming. And, I don’t think the lottery ticket idea is strange. It kind of keeps you looking forward to something!

  2. Sorry to leave this as a comment but I couldn’t find a contact form or email for ya:

My name is Kate and I found you while searching for Choice Mom/SMC blogs. I wanted to reach out because I’m promoting an infographic we just designed on the “Evolution of the American Family” for our client, Cryobank California.

There is a section that mentions Choice Moms on the infographic, and I thought that your readers might be interested. Here’s the infographic (with an embed code): http://www.cryobank.com/the-evolution-of-the-american-family.html

  3. I just found your blog. I didn’t think there were any choice moms of color out there.

    I have questions for you.

I recently had a miscarriage with my miracle baby who oddly enough was not by a donor. Now I want to go the known donor route and I’m nervous.

    • Hello, I am glad you found me. There are many women of color doing the SMC thing. I felt alone at first, but found a few at the local meeting and many on the SMC forum. You can go to the know donor websites. Or try to enlist someone you know. I was not lucky with anyone I knew. I got lecture about being selfish. I wanted to get ignorant with them for many reason. But I let it go and felt whatever there opinion is there opinion. When going the the known donor way you don’t have to have sex with them. Granted a lot of them want that. But you can inseminate yourself. You can buy the kits offline for 10 buck at NW cryo bank. I also don’t know where you live. It might also be cheap to do it at a small clinic or doctors office. In MA I found a place that would stick the sperm up you for 200 bucks. But sperm isn’t cheap to buy or ship if you that route. I would do some research and figure out what is available to you in your area. What your insurance covers. There are risks with a known donor. You have to take that under consideration.
